Refunds

When you get your money back, and how to ask for it.

Last updated 6 October 2026.

When a cut fails, you are not charged

If a cut fails for a reason on our side, the credit returns to your balance automatically. You do not need to contact us and there is nothing to claim.

If a video is refused because of the recording itself — no speech in it, a corrupted file, a clip that ends early — you are also not charged. The credit is only spent on a cut you actually receive.

Your 14-day right to cancel

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have 14 days from starting a subscription to change your mind and get your money back.

One honest caveat, which the law requires us to state: by cutting a video you are asking us to start the service straight away, and that reduces the refund proportionally to what you have used. If you have used none of it, you get all of it back.

Subscriptions after the first 14 days

Cancel at any time and the subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then stops. We do not refund part-months as a rule.

If something went genuinely wrong — a month where the service was unusable, or a charge you did not expect — tell us. We would rather refund you than argue, and we can do it without you contacting your bank.

Top-up credits

Unused top-up credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Credits you have already spent on cuts you received cannot.

How to ask

Use the chat in your dashboard, or email hello@tikeditor.com. A person reads it. We will answer within two working days and, where a refund is due, it goes back to the card you paid with and takes five to ten days to appear.

If we say no, we will tell you why, in a sentence you can argue with.
