Your videos and your data

What we keep, for how long, who else handles it, and how to delete it. Each answer is quoted from our terms and privacy notice.

Your videos stay yours, and are never used to train AI.

You keep every right in the video you upload and in the cut we give back. We claim no ownership and we do not use your footage to train anything.

We process your video only to produce your cut. We do not watch it, share it, or hand it to anyone else, except where a court or the law requires it.

From: Terms

A finished cut is kept for 30 days, then deleted.

We hold a finished cut for 30 days so you can download it, then delete it automatically. Download what you need — after that it is gone from our side, and we cannot recover it.

From: Terms

The video you upload is kept for 3 days, then deleted.

We hold the original you uploaded for 3 days after its cut is made, so you can change the cut without sending the video again. Then it is deleted automatically. Deleting the video from your dashboard deletes the original with it straight away.

From: Terms

You can delete everything yourself, and it is gone straight away.

Sign in, open Account, and use Delete account. You confirm by typing the word DELETE — there is no undo, so we make you say it rather than click through a dialog.

It is not a request that goes into a queue. The account is gone by the time the page comes back.

Your videos are private.

Sign-in is handled by Supabase and we never see your password. Every table in our database refuses access unless the row belongs to you. Finished cuts are private and reachable only through a link that expires in ten minutes, after we have checked the video is yours.

From: Privacy notice

No tracking and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

We count page views ourselves rather than using Google Analytics. No cookie is set and no identifier survives the day: a visitor is recorded as a one-way hash of IP address, browser and today's date, so the same person is a different visitor tomorrow and nothing can be joined across days. Your IP address itself is never written down.

Who else handles your data: the whole list.

Supabase, which hosts our database and handles sign-in. Cloudflare R2, which stores finished cuts. Stripe, for payments. Resend, which sends our email. Hetzner, which hosts the server, in Germany. Discord, where our team is told about new support messages, including their first words. Expo, which passes app notifications on to Apple; staff browser notifications travel through the browser maker's own push service.

That is the entire list. We do not sell data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not send it anywhere else.

Where it is kept.

Our server is in Germany. Our database and email provider operate in the EU. Cloudflare R2 and Stripe are US companies operating under the UK and EU transfer frameworks.
