What’s new

What has been added to TikEditor, newest first.

  • Watch your videos full screen

Open a finished video full screen and go on to the next with a swipe or an arrow key. New videos come with a map of what was cut, in red: tap a red block to hear that cut.

  • Four tabs: Videos, Earn, Help, Account

Your plan and your settings are together under Account, and Help is where you message us. On a phone the four tabs sit along the bottom.

  • Answers in one place

The common questions each have their own page in our new help centre, with a search box. Find it under Help at the foot of our home page.

  • Prices in US dollars

If you are in the US, the prices you see and the price you pay are now in dollars. There is a switch beside the prices if you would rather see pounds.

  • Your first re-cut of every video is free

Want a cut tighter or looser? Change the style and cut it again. The first re-cut of each video does not use a video from your plan.

  • See how far along your video is

While a video is being cut, its tile now shows the step it is on, so you can tell it is moving.

  • Set your cut style once

Settings now holds your cut style and which emails you get. Choose them once and every new video follows.

  • Emails that keep you posted

You now get an email when your trial starts, when a top-up is added and when a plan is cancelled, and a reminder before a video is deleted.

  • All of your videos in one list

The Videos tab shows your newest videos first, and “Show older videos” brings up the rest for as long as they are kept.

  • Ask a question without signing in

The chat on our home page can now pass your question to a person, even if you do not have an account yet.

  • Re-cut without uploading again

We keep the video you uploaded for 3 days after it is cut, so changing the cut does not mean sending the file again.

  • Tell us about a cut from the video itself

“Not right?” on any finished video now has “Send this cut to support”, so we can see exactly the cut you mean.

  • Top up right where you need it

If you run out of videos with a clip ready to go, the button to top up is now there on the Videos tab.

  • See exactly what was cut

Every finished video has a “What was cut” list: each pause and repeated take that was removed, and where.
